Selling your home via an online property agent or through a high street agent.
Selling property online is the way to go if you want to feel more in control of your house sale and fancy saving yourself a couple of thousand pounds while you go about it.
Some people will see the biggest benefit of selling property online is the saving you will make! High street agents will charge you between around 1% and 3% + VAT. Even if you can negotiate the fee down, you are still talking a lot of money. Here at iSell properties we have three great deals for you to choose from to sell your property online through us. For £50/month we offer a DIY package: we will list your property on all of the major property portals and send you emails and texts if someone is interested in your property. Coming in at £449 is our customer’s favourite choice. On top of the DIY package, this ‘Helping Hand’ package includes professional photos, floor plans, For Sale board, negotiation of offers and a personal sale negotiator. You can see why our customers love this package! Our third package, the ‘Full Works’ while coming in a 1% of the final selling price, offers not only accompanied viewing and viewing feedback, but – and we don’t think you will find this many other places in a 1% deal – we will instruct and liaise with a solicitor on your behalf!
Selling property online is no more risky than selling through a high street agent. Estate agents must all be members of either the Property Ombudsman, the Ombudsman Services Property and as of 2014 the Property Redress Scheme. These grievance bodies will pursue your claims should anything go wrong.
How will people see my property?
We use Right Move and Zoopla – a lot of high street agents will only use one of these portals and rely on people passing their windows as exposure. Here at iSell properties, we think that being on two of the biggest property portals will get your property seen by just as many, if not more, potential purchasers as one portal and a window display! With our ‘Helping Hand’ and ‘Full Works’ packages, we also offer For Sale boards. Just as many people will see your property, if not more, when you sell your property online!
Selling your property online does have a slight downside to it – your agent many not have specific knowledge of your local area. In your research stage of putting your property on the market, it is always recommended to have several agents value your property. After this, if you would like to choose an online agent, then you will have a pretty good idea of the marketing value of your property.
Do you want to save a couple of thousand pounds on your property sale? Are you prepared to put a bit of work in? Selling your property online is the way to go!
